Recommendation CM/Rec(2015)6 of the Committee of Ministers to member States on the free, transboundary flow of information on the Internet was adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 1 April 2015, at the 1224th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies.

Belgian Data Protection Authority's first recommendation on Facebook's privacy policy

Following the introduction of new worldwide terms of use by Facebook, a number of European privacy commissions started investigations. Facebook did not accept that it was bound by the national privacy legislation of Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany and it rejected their competence.

On 13 May the Belgian Privacy Commission adopted a first recommendation on Facebook. The document establishes that the Belgian Privacy Commission is competent and that Facebook disregards European and Belgian privacy legislation in several ways.

Letter from security & Internet experts to FCC Requests Mandates for Securing and Updating Wi-Fi Devices

More than 260 other global network and cybersecurity experts responded to the newly proposed FCC rules laid out in ET Docket No. 15-170 for RF Devices such as Wi-Fi routers by unveiling a new approach to improve the security of these devices and ensure a faster, better, and more secure Internet.
