Poland: New project on public institutions’ surveillance practices

A group of experts will develop a catalogue of surveillance technologies purchased by Polish public institutions and list of companies delivering them. The experts will also analyse existing legal framework and verify whether Polish public institutions acted lawfully or not. Finally, there will be a comparison between the results of this research and the reports documenting security-industrial complex in other countries.

Thousands of young people take part in a UK debate about what should be included in a "Magna Carta" for the digital age. The public can now vote online for the clauses they suggested, in a project organised by the British Library.

A diverse group of human rights defenders in the EU has launched an ambitious project that aims to radically change the way information relating to human rights is organised. If successful, the initiative will create a system that can permanently identify and preserve all human rights data across all languages, and radically improve its availability to anyone who is working on the same issues in the future.
