A working group established by the Swiss government has reached a compromise in regard to copyright enforcement, in which (contrary to a previous proposal) no Internet blocking would be used against copyright-infringing foreign websites, but the legal protection for the privacy of IP addresses would be reduced, in order to allow persecution of illegal peer-to-peer filesharing.
