Insufficient security of clients’ data: Optical Center fined EUR 50 000

The French Data Protection Authority fined Optical Center EUR 50 000 for not ensuring sufficient security and confidentiality of its clients’ data. In December 2014, following an individual complaint, the company was asked to redress its data processing practices and ensure compliance with the law on Information and Data Protection.
